Currently, the top ten US stocks control 22% of the global market capitalization—this is the craziest number in over half a century. The top five are even more dominant, accounting for 15% of the global market share, hitting a record high since records began.

Compare this to the internet bubble of 2000. Back then, the top ten held only 14%, and the top five just 8%. Today's concentration level far exceeds that era. What does this indicate? The ability of today's US stock giants to attract capital is indeed on a different scale.
