Market reversals often hinge on a single rule change.

Take, for example, a token issuance event on a leading prediction platform. On December 16th, the platform quietly added a supplementary note in gray tiny font to the rule explanation: the scope of token issuance was expanded to include Meme types. This seemingly insignificant change actually completely altered market expectations.

By December 28th, the official announcement delayed the token issuance. What was the market reaction? Intense—those traders who bought "yes" at 90% high levels watched their positions drop to 13%, being cut in half. Those who exited suffered heavy losses.

But this is precisely the opportunity. Traders who carefully understood the rules began gradually building positions from 13%. Based on two on-chain oracle-settled votes, the probability of a final "yes" outcome was extremely high—despite some controversy during the process, the logical interpretation of the wording made the result almost certain.

Once the vote was finally confirmed, these bottom-fishers would see returns of 7.7 times. The same market, the same event—yet some suffered losses while others made huge profits. The difference lies in whether they truly understood the subtle changes in the rules. This is the reality of on-chain prediction markets—details determine success or failure.

Gray small print tricks people, old routine again, someone will take the bait this time. Changing the rules without properly explaining, then pretending to be innocent and setting traps. The 90% of people who buy the dip really deserve it. I love these reversals; whoever reads the details eats the meat. 7.7x? Come on, they'll change their tune again at the last moment. On-chain prediction markets are just arbitrage opportunities based on information gaps. Whether the details are clear or not, it mainly depends on who finds out first. This move is indeed ruthless, but I don't believe it can reliably achieve 7.7x. That trick with gray small print, they only change it back after causing a fuss. Understanding the rules? Probably just good luck.
