Privacy issues in blockchain are more complex than they seem. Industry insiders point out that in the current mainstream public chain ecosystem, transaction data is actually highly transparent, making true privacy difficult to achieve. One direct consequence of this transparency is the increasing prominence of MEV (Maximal Extractable Value) issues—smart traders can observe pending transactions in the mempool and front-run to profit.

From a regulatory perspective, this "over-transparency" is also a focus of concern for institutions and policymakers. Their worries are not about privacy itself, but about the potential abuse of transparency. How to preserve the open nature of blockchain while effectively preventing transaction manipulation? This has become a difficult problem facing the entire ecosystem. Some believe that a truly private protection mechanism should be redesigned, but on the premise that market fairness and transparency are not compromised.

MEV, to put it simply, is a hunting ground for big players, and retail investors are being eaten alive. This is the real unfairness. Oh no, do we want privacy or transparency... this contradiction is a real dilemma. If privacy mechanisms are poorly implemented, large transfers can be directly targeted; if regulation is strict, it might cause issues. This is the most awkward part of public chains—wanting to have both fish and bear's paw. Instead of researching privacy protection, it's better to cut out this tumor called MEV first. It seems like the people in L2 are all experimenting and making mistakes; no one has truly solved this problem. Those with real privacy needs have already gone to Monero; Ethereum's current approach is just a band-aid and doesn't address the root cause.

MEV is really an unsolvable problem, the more transparent it is, the more it gets exploited Privacy and transparency are inherently contradictory; you can't have both In simple terms, the eternal contradiction between centralization and decentralization—everyone wants it, but no one can provide it This is the most awkward aspect of blockchain... it seems free, but in reality, it's constantly monitored

MEV, I've seen through it long ago—it's just front-running in the mempool, nothing new. Privacy and transparency are really a vicious cycle, like choosing between fish and bear paws. Honestly, it still comes down to who has the louder voice; once regulation arrives, everything is pointless.

Laughing out loud, do I still need to talk about the MEV problem? It's been thoroughly exploited by big funds for a long time, and on-chain data is right there for everyone to see. What can retail investors observe in the mempool to snatch? The capital flow of whales has long been precisely tracked by quantitative teams down to the millisecond. Privacy and transparency are fundamentally contradictory. What does regulation want? It's nothing more than controlling the flow of chips. The so-called "redesign" is just about leaving a backdoor for themselves. Don't talk about fairness.

MEV has long been in need of regulation; the current situation is just blatant front-running. If you want privacy and transparency at the same time, you're dreaming. I don't oppose transparency on public blockchains, but ordinary people should also have a chance—don't just let big players exploit the system. That's why I believe privacy coins will eventually turn things around; even if they don't, it's still more comfortable than being watched. Honestly, it's all about the distribution of benefits—don't talk about fairness; it's long gone.
