If Bitcoin only ever increased in value, the number of billionaires would grow every day. But that's not the case for one reason — there are the "chosen ones" who know how to steer Bitcoin in the right direction, causing most of those wanting to get rich to lose their money, while manipulators increase their wealth. It's much simpler than it seems. The more money someone has, the more influence they can exert on the price in any direction. This works the same with securities and cryptocurrencies.
