CITIC Construction Investment: Continually Recommend the Global Power Shortage Industry Chain
People’s Financial News, March 12 — CITIC Construction Investment released a research report on the power equipment and new energy industries, continuing to recommend the global power shortage supply chain. The report states that starting in 2026, North American AI power demand will surpass conventional load growth for the first time, becoming the most influential factor affecting North American power demand. It is expected that North American gas turbine deliveries from 2026 to 2028 will total 60–66 GW, which is far from the 152 GW of AI power demand in North America during the same period. Global gas turbine orders in 2026 still have upward momentum, potentially exceeding 100 GW. Industry production is expected to extend to 2030. Considering that gas turbine demand has historically shown cyclical and dramatic fluctuations, overseas expansion of blades, casting and forging parts, and other segments is relatively weak. Meanwhile, domestic supply chains are actively expanding production and accelerating the certification of overseas products, which is expected to achieve both volume and profit growth. Additionally, domestic independent gas turbine manufacturers, integrated gas turbine suppliers, and suppliers of converted diesel to gas, ship-to-gas conversions, all have the potential to export overseas.
