Januar 2024: Laut Decrypt hat das Bitcoin-Mining-Unternehmen GoMining in Zusammenarbeit mit der Luxusuhrenmarke Jacob & Co. eine limitierte Edition eines Luxusarmbands und eines digitalen Mining-Geräts vorgestellt. Das Produkt trägt den Namen Epic X GoMining, ist auf 100 Stück limitiert und kostet jeweils 40.000 US-Dollar. Es umfasst eine handgefertigte, bitcoin-themenbezogene Luxusarmbanduhr sowie ein Zertifikat für ein digitales Mining-Gerät mit einer Rechenleistung von 1000 TH. Das digitale Mining-Gerät repräsentiert den Anteil des Besitzers am Bitcoin-Mining-Ertrag des physischen Minenbetriebs von GoMining. Nach Abzug von Stromkosten und Wartungskosten wird ein jährlicher Nettogewinn von etwa 7000 US-Dollar erwartet. Das Kombinationsprodukt wird in den Jacob & Co. Filialen in New York und Miami, auf der offiziellen Website der Marke sowie auf der GoMining-Plattform erhältlich sein.
