Interactive Brokers Adds Nextrade Access, Extends Korean Equity Trading to 12 Hours

Interactive Brokers has expanded its South Korean equity offering by adding connectivity to Nextrade, the country's first Alternative Trading System, extending trading hours to 12 hours daily and providing global investors with access to approximately 650 KOSPI and KOSDAQ-listed securities.

The broker's SmartRouting technology will automatically compare prices between Nextrade and the Korea Exchange, directing client orders to whichever venue offers the best available execution. Trading across the two venues spans from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM KST, significantly longer than the Korea Exchange's traditional session.
