Abstract generation in progress

Jin10 data reported on September 9 that French Prime Minister Édouard Philippe failed to pass a confidence vote in parliament on Monday, and he will submit his resignation to President Macron, just nine months after taking office. This result puts greater pressure on Macron, who urgently needs to curb the escalating political crisis. Philippe, a veteran centrist and ally of Macron, actively sought parliamentary support to push his plan to reduce the budget deficit, putting the prime minister's position at risk. In the National Assembly, which has 577 seats, a majority of members voted against the confidence motion. This marks the third time since the establishment of the Fifth Republic in 1958 that a prime minister has resigned due to a parliamentary no-confidence vote.
