Yuga Labs Launches Koda Nexus in Otherside Metaverse

Yuga Labs is expanding its Otherside metaverse with the launch of Koda Nexus, a permanent city hub set to open on November 12, 2025. Co-founder Greg Solano announced that the new space will feature dynamic districts, an ancient temple at its center, and rotating gameplay challenges designed to evolve over time.

The Nexus serves as a central return point between journeys through Otherside’s constellation of worlds, offering players a place to regroup, explore, and participate in new experiences. Solano described it as “a vibrant landscape full of neighborhoods to explore, an ancient temple at its core, and a constantly shifting set of trials and quests.”

Seamless Access and Onchain Integration

The new Summit feature allows users to log in using X (formerly Twitter) or email, while automatically creating a self-custodial wallet behind the scenes. This smooth onboarding experience bridges traditional web access with crypto-native infrastructure, linking directly to ApeChain and ApeCoin for onchain ownership of items, avatars, badges, and rewards.

Nexus emphasizes true blockchain utility, enabling permissionless interactions, instant payments, and programmable royalties. The integration ensures that all digital assets within Otherside remain verifiably owned and transferable across the ecosystem.

Partnerships and Creator Tools

Developed as a nexus between exploration and creation, the platform supports integrations with major partners including Amazon and renowned artist Daniel Arsham. It also introduces tools for creators and an evolving queue of gameplay experiences such as Bathroom Blitz and Outbreak.
