1Password for Claude Launched, Enables Secure Login Without Exposing Credentials

According to Beating, 1Password and Anthropic recently launched 1Password for Claude, enabling Claude to fill login credentials directly into websites when booking tickets, checking orders, or managing accounts. Passwords and one-time verification codes are not stored in the model's context, memory, or Anthropic's systems.

When Claude initiates login, 1Password displays the account to use; users approve via Touch ID or similar methods, and credentials are filled only for the current task. The feature is now available on Mac for 1Password personal, family, and enterprise plans, with initial support limited to usernames, passwords, and one-time codes. Passkeys, payment cards, and identity information are not yet supported.
