Apple Hits $5 Trillion Market Cap for First Time, Stock Up 25% YTD

According to CNBC, Apple on Tuesday briefly reached a market capitalization of $5 trillion for the first time. The stock hit a high of $342.89 before declining slightly, marking a 25% jump year-to-date and outpacing its megacap peers.

Tuesday's earnings call will be Tim Cook's last as Apple CEO, with John Ternus set to take over on September 1.
