Apple Lobbies Trump Administration for Approval to Purchase Changxin Storage DRAM Chips

According to Financial Times, Apple is lobbying the Trump administration on June 27 for approval to procure DRAM memory chips from Chinese chipmaker Changxin Storage. This week, Apple raised prices for MacBook and iPad models due to rising memory costs, triggering a market value loss of $263 billion. The move aims to ease supply chain pressures by diversifying memory suppliers. Currently, the global DRAM market is dominated by U.S. Micron, South Korea's Samsung, and SK Hynix.
