Ark's Cathie Wood Reports Global Cloud CAPEX Expanded to $700B+ on July 15

According to Ark Investment Management, CEO Cathie Wood said on July 15 that major global cloud companies have expanded their 2026 capital expenditure (CAPEX) plans to over $700 billion, up from approximately $600 billion at the start of the year. Wood also highlighted rapid growth in AI service demand, noting that Anthropic's annual recurring revenue (ARR) surged to approximately $47 billion within six months from $9 billion at year-end 2025. Wood characterized AI as a "new platform shift" rather than a trend, stating it is driving meaningful revenue growth across industries.
