According to ChainCatcher, citing Bluewhale Technology, Bytedance and ZTE's new-generation Douyin AI smartphone faces a delayed launch due to regulatory approval requirements. Originally expected in the second quarter, the device will now arrive in July or August 2026 at the earliest, pending necessary clearances from China's Cyberspace Administration for large language model registration and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology for network certification. The product is currently undergoing a second round of regulatory filing.
