Canal+ Posts 40% Revenue Surge in H1 2026 After MultiChoice Acquisition, Subscriber Growth Hits 40%

Canal+ reported today that its H1 2026 revenue surged 40% to €4,287 million, with adjusted EBIT up 68% to €433 million, reflecting the consolidation of MultiChoice following its acquisition. MultiChoice's adjusted EBIT rose 160% to €143 million, driven primarily by €120 million in synergies.

Subscriber acquisition in MultiChoice countries grew 40% compared to H1 2025, with June 2026 marking the highest new subscriber uptake in South Africa in a decade. The company reduced entry costs for new subscribers and expanded its distribution network by over 15% since March. However, following MultiChoice's delisting from the Johannesburg Stock Exchange in December 2025, Canal+ ceased publishing detailed local market performance metrics, including subscriber breakdowns by tier and average revenue per user for the South African market.
