Changxin Memory Reaches Over $3 Billion DRAM Supply Agreement with Tencent

According to Reuters, Chinese chipmaker Changxin Memory (CXMT) has reached a long-term DRAM chip supply agreement with Tencent valued at over 20 billion yuan (approximately $3 billion). The agreement covers server DRAM chip supplies for the next 3 to 5 years. The deal comes as Changxin Memory prepares for a 29.5 billion yuan IPO on Shanghai's sci-tech board. The company is also in negotiations with other Chinese internet firms for similar partnerships and is building a new DRAM factory in Shanghai, with full capacity expected to double monthly wafer output to approximately 600,000 wafers.
