China Commerce Ministry Lists 20 Japanese Military-Linked Entities in Export Control Blacklist

China's Commerce Ministry announced today that it has added 20 Japanese entities involved in enhancing Japan's military capabilities to its export control blacklist, according to state media. The move was made under China's Export Control Law and the Regulations on Export Control of Dual-Use Items. The listed entities are now prohibited from receiving exports of dual-use items from Chinese exporters, and foreign organizations and individuals are banned from transferring or supplying items of Chinese origin to these entities. Ongoing related activities must cease immediately, though special cases requiring exports may be submitted to the Commerce Ministry for approval.
