China Issues Orange Geological Disaster Alert for Southeast Chongqing on July 18

According to the Ministry of Natural Resources and China Meteorological Administration, on July 18 an orange-level geological disaster meteorological risk alert was issued for the period from 08:00 on July 18 to 08:00 on July 19, 2026. Southeast Chongqing faces high risk (orange alert), while parts of southwest Anhui, southwest and east Hubei, northwest Hunan, northwest Guangxi, south and northeast Guizhou, west north and east Yunnan are under yellow alert (moderate risk).
