China's Gold Production Falls 7.08% in Q1 2026 as Consumption Rises 4.41%

According to China Gold Association, domestic gold production declined 7.08% year-on-year to 81.065 tonnes in the first quarter of 2026, while total gold consumption increased 4.41% to 303.292 tonnes. Imported raw material production rose 2.94% to 55.165 tonnes, bringing combined domestic and imported production to 136.230 tonnes, down 3.27% from the prior year.
