China's Ministry of Commerce to Accelerate Revisions to Foreign Investor M&A Rules on July 23

According to the Securities Times, China's Ministry of Commerce announced on July 23 that it will accelerate the revision and issuance of regulations governing foreign investors' mergers and acquisitions of domestic enterprises, as part of its efforts to enhance foreign investment attraction in the second half of the year. The ministry also plans to deepen opening-up in sectors including value-added telecommunications, biotechnology, and foreign-invested hospitals.
