China's Total Outstanding Loans Reach 286.43 Trillion Yuan, Up 5.1% Year-over-Year as of End-June

According to People's Bank of China data released on July 15, total outstanding loans in both Chinese yuan and foreign currencies reached 286.43 trillion yuan as of end-June, up 5.1% year-over-year. Outstanding yuan-denominated loans stood at 282.63 trillion yuan, growing 5.2% year-over-year. In the first half of 2026, new yuan loans increased by 10.72 trillion yuan.
