Chinese Yuan Strengthens as USD/CNY Falls to 6.7972 on July 13

According to China's interbank foreign exchange market data released on July 13, the USD/CNY mid-price dropped 17 basis points to 6.7972, reflecting yuan strength. EUR/CNY declined sharply by 312 points to 7.7400, while GBP/CNY fell 307 points to 9.0850 and CHF/CNY dropped 386 points to 8.3892.

Other major currency pairs showed mixed movements: JPY/CNY rose 46 points per 100 yen to 4.1922, and RUB/CNY surged 1,174 points to 11.3220. AUD/CNY, CAD/CNY, NZD/CNY, and SGD/CNY all retreated against the yuan.
