Cisco Investments Backs Israeli Cybersecurity Startup Zafran, Funding Expected to Exceed $140M

According to Calcalist, Cisco Investments, the venture capital arm of Cisco, backed Israeli cybersecurity startup Zafran Security on July 22. The investment size was not disclosed, but the deal is expected to lift Zafran's total funding from approximately US$130 million to more than US$140 million. This marks Zafran's second strategic investment in six months, following a round from American Express Ventures. Zafran, founded in 2022, operates an AI-native threat exposure management platform that identifies exploitable vulnerabilities and leverages existing security controls to reduce risk and speed remediation.
