CLARITY Act Could Unlock $56 Trillion From U.S. Pension Funds for Digital Assets Before August Deadline

According to on-chain metrics provider X, the proposed CLARITY Act could unlock access to approximately $56 trillion in assets managed by U.S. pension funds if enacted. The legislation would establish regulatory clarity for digital assets, removing uncertainty that has prevented institutional investors from allocating capital to cryptocurrencies including XRP.

Republican lawmakers are pushing to advance the bill before Congress adjourns for its August recess. When senators return on July 13, Congress will have roughly 20 working days to debate, pass, and reconcile the CLARITY Act with the House before the August break. XRP, characterized by limited available supply due to significant holdings in escrow and among long-term investors, could be among the notable beneficiaries if institutional capital flows into the digital asset following the legislation's passage.
