Claude Adds Record-a-Skill Feature to Cowork, Automating Workflow Creation

According to Beating Intelligence, Anthropic has introduced a "Record a skill" feature to its office Agent Claude Cowork. Users can now demonstrate a task while verbally explaining the process, and Claude records screen activity, clicks, keyboard inputs, and audio to automatically generate reusable Skills—callable workflows that can be executed for similar tasks without manual reconfiguration.

The feature is available to Pro, Max, and Team users via the Cowork plus menu on the desktop app. OpenAI launched a comparable "Record & Replay" capability for Codex on June 18, lowering the barrier for non-technical users to create automation workflows.
