Danske Bank Forecasts Fed Rate Hikes to 4.00%-4.25% in December 2026 and March 2027

According to Danske Bank analysts cited by Jin10, the Federal Reserve is expected to raise interest rates twice, with rate hikes occurring in December 2026 and March 2027, bringing the federal funds rate to 4.00%-4.25%. However, the analysts cautioned that rate increases could come earlier and exceed two hikes. Danske Bank also noted that Fed Chair Kevin Walsh's inaugural meeting signaled the central bank is increasingly abandoning forward guidance, with all indicators suggesting the Fed aims for greater discretion in future policy decisions.
