According to X, Elon Musk's social media platform launched X Money, a digital wallet and payment service, this week (July 28) for U.S. paid subscribers. The service includes a virtual X Visa debit card for fee-free, unlimited peer-to-peer transfers via Apple Pay, Google Pay, and within X.
Users can also request a physical metal X Visa debit card featuring their social media handle. The card offers fee-free international transactions, free ATM withdrawals globally, and up to 3 percent cashback on select purchases. The launch fulfills Musk's long-held vision of transforming X into an all-in-one super app similar to WeChat, building on his 1999 founding of X.com, which later merged with PayPal.
