Foreign Investors Pull $137.36B From Asian Markets in H1 2026, Largest Half-Year Outflow in 16 Years

According to London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) data, foreign investors withdrew $137.36 billion from stock markets in seven Asian countries—South Korea, Taiwan, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines—in the first half of 2026, marking the largest half-year outflow on record since 2010. South Korea and Taiwan were the hardest hit, with net outflows of $70.8 billion and $29.6 billion respectively.
