Fortitude Brings 12-MW Nebraska Zcash Mining Facility Online, Cuts Production Costs to $40 per ZEC

ZEC-1.65%
According to The Block, Zcash miner Fortitude, backed by Digital Currency Group CEO Barry Silbert, brought a 12-megawatt mining facility in Grand Island, Nebraska, online on July 28. The facility, Fortitude's first self-developed mining site, is estimated to have power costs of approximately $0.045 per KW/h. Combined with newer-generation mining equipment, Fortitude expects the site to reduce its ZEC production costs to around $40 from roughly $70 per ZEC. The Nebraska facility expands Fortitude's contracted power portfolio to over 60 MW across seven locations in five states.
