GM Reveals 2027 GMC Sierra with New 5.7L and 6.6L V-8 Engines, Redesigned Interior

According to General Motors, the automaker on Thursday revealed its 2027 GMC Sierra 1500 pickup truck lineup, featuring new small-block V-8 gas engine options in 5.7-liter and 6.6-liter configurations, alongside V-6 engines including a GM-exclusive diesel variant. The redesigned Sierra includes a revamped interior with a sliding center console, folding work surface, more than 60 inches of available screens, and an 11.5-inch passenger-side display for media and entertainment, made possible by relocating the gear shifter to the steering column. GM narrowed the trim lineup to six models: Pro, Elevation, AT4, AT4X, Denali, and Denali Ultimate, removing the entry-level SLE and SLT configurations. Pricing and performance specifications will be announced closer to the vehicles' late-2026 launch.
