Grayscale: Bitcoin May Have Already Bottomed If Fed Holds Rate Hikes

BTC-1.12%
According to Grayscale head of research Zach Pandl, Bitcoin may have already hit its cycle low on Wednesday, conditional on the Federal Reserve not raising rates further. The firm rejects the traditional four-year cycle framework, which predicts a bottom in September or October with an average 80% drawdown, instead viewing Bitcoin as a macroeconomic asset. With Bitcoin currently trading around $65,000—roughly 49% below its October 2025 peak of $126,000—Pandl argues that if the Fed foregoes rate hikes and economic growth remains stable, Bitcoin's price may already have bottomed. The Fed meets July 29, with the crypto-focused Clarity Act facing an August 7 Senate deadline, both framed as near-term price catalysts.
