According to ZhiTong Finance APP, the Hang Seng Index rose 1.34% (up 334 points to 25,227) in midday trading on July 23, with trading volume reaching HK$129.5 billion. The Hang Seng Technology Index gained 0.79%.

Lithium stocks surged, with Ganfeng Lithium (01772) up 9%, Tianqi Lithium (09696) up 7%, and Longbao Technology (02465) up 5%. Aluminum stocks also rallied amid Middle East geopolitical risk premiums, with China Hongqiao (01378) up 5% and Aluminum Corporation of China (02600) up 7%.
