HBM4 Prices to More Than Double to $4-5 per Gigabit Next Year, DigiTimes Reports

NVDA-3.53%
SK Hynix-0.54%
SKHY-8.78%
SKHYV-0.98%
According to DigiTimes, HBM4 chip prices are expected to surge from approximately $2 per gigabit in the second half of 2026 to $4-5 per gigabit next year, driven by accelerating demand ahead of Nvidia's next-generation Vera Rubin AI platform launch. The price surge is also being supported by production bottlenecks and expansion of long-term supply agreements, with major AI customers expected to secure roughly half of total production capacity through multi-year contracts, strengthening negotiating power for Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix.
