India Establishes Monitoring Platform to Track Citizens on Ships in Strait of Hormuz

According to Bloomberg, India announced on Tuesday evening that its Directorate General of Shipping will establish a monitoring platform to track all Indian citizens aboard vessels transiting the Persian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz, and Gulf of Oman, regardless of the vessel's flag. Indian seafarers account for over 12% of the global maritime workforce.
