Iran's New Supreme Leader Mujtaba Khamenei Remains Absent From Father's Funeral, Unseen Since March

According to Capitol Hill and The New York Times, Iran's new supreme leader Mujtaba Khamenei has not attended his father, former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei's, funeral proceedings. The former leader is scheduled to be buried on July 9. Khamenei, who assumed power in March following a conflict in which he was wounded, has not made any public appearances since taking office, raising questions about his health status. It remains unclear whether he plans to attend any of the mourning activities.
