Iran's Revolutionary Guard Warns Against Alternative Hormuz Routes on July 22

According to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy Command, on July 22, the Strait of Hormuz entry and exit routes are fully under Iranian control, with any alternative routes posing severe and irreversible dangers to vessels.

The warning follows an incident on July 18, when two tankers reported explosions and fires in a mined area south of the strait. The U.S. Central Command contested Iran's account. The tankers used the southern route near Oman's coast, which the U.S. encourages as safe, while Iran claims it lacks authorization.
