Operating profit for South Korean tobacco company KT&G is expected to reach 399.5 billion won in the second quarter of 2026, up 14.18% year-over-year, according to forecasts from 11 major South Korean securities firms compiled on July 29. Revenue is projected at 1.676 trillion won, representing an 8.28% increase. Overseas cigarette sales in Russia and Kazakhstan are driving growth through price increases and expanded premium product offerings. Domestic tobacco demand also remained resilient, with electronic nicotine products (NGP) seeing double-digit volume growth and gaining market share.
