Micron Technology announced on Thursday (July 16) that it has signed long-term agreements with Qualcomm, Harman and other automotive supply chain partners including Visteon, JOYNEXT, DENSO, Astemo and Hyundai Mobis to ensure memory and storage component supplies for AI-powered vehicles and enhance price and capacity planning stability.

Micron is currently the only chipmaker producing high-bandwidth memory (HBM) in the United States, products compatible with Nvidia AI processors. As artificial intelligence tools proliferate, demand for memory chips from data centers, consumer electronics and automobiles is accelerating. These chips enable advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), digital cockpits and other AI functions critical to software-defined vehicle upgrades.
