Morgan Stanley Expects ECB Rate Hike in September After Thursday Hold

According to Jin10, Morgan Stanley expects the European Central Bank to raise rates in September following the central bank's rate hold on Thursday. The ECB reiterated it remains well-positioned to address energy price shocks. Morgan Stanley analysts indicated that if energy prices remain elevated, the ECB will consider further rate increases and support gradual policy tightening. The ECB raised rates by 25 basis points in June.
