According to Bloomberg, NuScale Power (SMR) shares jumped over 1% overnight Tuesday after gaining 9.5% in its prior session. The surge followed reports that the Trump administration is accelerating nuclear power deployment for AI data centers and plans to submit a Saudi Arabia nuclear cooperation agreement to Congress within days.
The administration's $200 million initiative will fund national laboratories and universities to speed the design, licensing, and construction of advanced reactors. NuScale is the only SMR provider with U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission design certification, positioning it as a potential beneficiary of the Saudi Arabia civil nuclear program.
