According to Darul Uloom Karachi, Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani issued a fatwa stating that cryptocurrencies, tokens, and stablecoins do not qualify as wealth or property under Islamic law, making their trading prohibited. The ruling applies to Bitcoin, Ethereum, and stablecoins including Tether (USDT) and has been endorsed by several other Islamic scholars.
