RIA Files Chapter 11, Threatening $185M Shinhan Investment Bond Recovery

According to Yonhap Infomax, on July 16, RIA, a U.S. investment firm, filed for Chapter 11 reorganization under U.S. federal bankruptcy law, raising uncertainty over Shinhan Investment Corp's $185 million bond recovery. Shinhan Investment, listed as a major creditor, said it will monitor the company's restructuring process closely and take appropriate measures if needed. The company stated that RIA possesses sufficient assets to distribute to all creditors, including Shinhan Investment, according to filed documents.
