According to IBTimes US, on June 23, Ripple received a preliminary "Green Light Letter" from Luxembourg's financial regulator, the CSSF, authorizing it as a Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) under MiCA, ahead of the July 1 deadline by 8 days.
Once finalized, the CASP license automatically extends across all 30 countries in the European Economic Area, eliminating the need for separate approvals in each jurisdiction. Combined with Ripple's existing EU Electronic Money Institution license, the authorization enables European banks and fintechs to conduct fiat and cryptocurrency transactions through a single integration. Ripple's stablecoin RLUSD, which reached $300 million in circulation in Q1 2026, can now be issued and redeemed under MiCA's stablecoin framework.
