Ripple Unlocks 1 Billion XRP on August 1; Most Tokens Expected to Return to Escrow

According to Finbold, on August 1, Ripple will unlock 1 billion XRP through its monthly escrow mechanism on the XRP Ledger. The release follows the company's established schedule since 2017 to provide transparency around XRP supply management.

Historically, Ripple has re-escrowed between 600 million and 800 million XRP following monthly unlocks, with only a portion entering circulation for liquidity operations and institutional partnerships. The company currently holds approximately 38 billion XRP in escrow accounts with release dates extending years into the future. XRP was trading at around $1.14 on Tuesday, up roughly 4% in the previous 24 hours.
