Robinhood Co-Founder's Leaked Seed Phrase Enables Attacker to Pump Memecoin to $14M in 2 Hours on July 13

MEME1.20%
According to Michael, Chief Business Officer of TokenPocket wallet, an attacker exploited a recovered seed phrase from a Robinhood co-founder's self-custody wallet on July 13, enabling a rapid manipulation of a memecoin called "$1." The attacker purchased the token from the compromised address, which held approximately $1.5 million. Traders monitoring high-value wallets copied the purchase, interpreting it as a deliberate bet by the co-founder. This drove the token's market cap from $500,000 to $14 million in approximately two hours, accumulating over $20 million in trading volume before the price collapsed. The seed phrase was accidentally exposed during a live broadcast.
