Russia Responds to U.S. Authorization of Patriot Interceptor Missile Production in Ukraine

According to Jin10, on July 9, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia is fully aware of the measures it will take following the U.S. plan to grant Ukraine production licenses for Patriot air defense system interceptor missiles. Peskov said Russia is making maximum efforts to protect national interests and has taken all necessary measures. He added that Moscow has noted the U.S. administration appears to believe escalation and military pressure can promote a peaceful resolution to the Ukraine issue, while simultaneously continuing to supply weapons and attempting to advance peace negotiations. Peskov also confirmed that despite remaining disagreements, dialogue channels between Russian and U.S. presidents remain open.
