According to Counterpoint Research, Samsung Electronics held 38% of global DRAM revenue in the first quarter of 2026, ahead of SK Hynix's 29% and Micron's 22%. In high-bandwidth memory (HBM), SK Hynix commanded 58%, while Samsung and Micron each claimed 21%. Samsung also led NAND flash with 29%, followed by SK Hynix at 18%, and China-based YMTC climbing to 13% from 8%.
The DRAM market grew 80% quarter on quarter and 260% year on year, while NAND expanded 90% quarter on quarter, driven by higher prices, AI server demand, and supplier shifts toward HBM, DDR5, and enterprise storage.
