Samsung, SK Hynix Prepare $1.3 Trillion Investment Plan, Announced on Monday

According to Korea Economic Daily, Samsung and SK Hynix are preparing to announce up to $1.3 trillion in combined investments during a government briefing on Monday (June 30) afternoon local time. Samsung alone is expected to commit $646 billion toward semiconductor fabs, AI data centers, advanced packaging, batteries, and displays. The DRAM ETF slipped 0.4% in overnight trading ahead of the announcement, while Samsung shares dropped 4% in Seoul by Monday afternoon, and SK Hynix shares dipped nearly 2%.
