According to Herald Economy, Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix will report second-quarter earnings on July 30 and July 29 respectively, marking a critical week for South Korea's stock market. The KOSPI fell 1.91% for the week ending July 24, closing at 6690.62, down 406.27 points (5.72%), while the KOSDAQ declined 5.51%. The earnings season coincides with the U.S. Federal Reserve's July monetary policy meeting on July 30, alongside earnings reports from tech giants Microsoft and Meta on July 29, and Amazon and Apple on July 30. Market analysts are focused on forward guidance from both Korean chipmakers regarding memory chip supply contracts and profitability outlooks.
