According to Bull Theory analysts, seven major events spanning the next 72 hours—including a Federal Reserve decision, inflation data, GDP figures and Big Tech earnings—could determine global market direction, starting Tuesday (July 29).
The Fed will announce its interest rate decision on Wednesday, with markets pricing in a 35% chance of an increase. The PCE inflation report follows Thursday, alongside second-quarter GDP data expected around 2.1%-2.2% annualized growth. Microsoft and Meta report earnings Wednesday; Meta is forecast to post $7.18-$7.24 per share earnings on roughly $60.2 billion revenue. Apple and Amazon report Thursday, with Apple expected to earn $1.88 per share and Amazon $1.81-$1.85 per share. Consumer confidence data arrive Tuesday, with the University of Michigan's consumer sentiment figures due Friday.
